Elegant center medallion and flowers woven in an intricate "puffed" pattern give grace and clarity to this classic design.  It is woven in solid white and antique colors and two-tone colors.

Maine Heritage Weavers manufactures both matelasse and chenille blankets, bedspreads, coverlets and throws with one hundred percent cotton. Woven USA colonial candlewick coverlets are still manufactured at Maine Heritage Weavers in Lewiston, Maine, in one hundred percent quality cotton. Martha Washington's Choice (also remembered as George Washington's Choice) continues to be one of the most popular luxury candlewick type (terry loop) designs.

This colonial woven design is available with string fringe or pom-pom fringe in either white or antique colors. New colors will be offered this summer for a limited time. George Washington chose the original of this design for his bride. The original weave, older than Christianity, was lost when textile machinery replaced skilled weavers. Bates Fabrics had recaptures this weaving art and former employees continue this tradition at Maine Heritage Weavers in Lewiston, Maine. Martha Washington's Choice is also available in custom sizes and throws with pom-pom fringe or luxurious string fringe.
