Martha's Choice (also remembered as [tag]George Washington's Choice[/tag]) is still one of the most popular designs. Queen size is the size most ordered and measures 84"x110". [tag]Coverlets[/tag] have pom-pom fringe and are available in solid white, solid antique, blue and white or sage and white. Custom sizes can be made for thicker mattress or different types of bed frames.
The original weave, older than Christianity, was lost when textile machinery replaced skilled weavers. Bates Fabrics had recaptures this weaving art and former employees continue this tradition at Maine Heritage Weavers.
